Account Deletion

Close Your Account

Request permanent deletion of your Eduverse account and associated data. This page works without needing the Eduverse app installed.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Before You Close Your Account

Closing your Eduverse account can have permanent consequences for your profile, learning history, and (for mentors) published content. Please read this page fully before submitting a request โ€” in most cases, once a closure request is verified and processed, it cannot be undone.

2. What Happens After You Submit a Request

  • We verify that the request genuinely comes from the account owner (see the verification steps below).
  • Once verified, your account is scheduled for closure.
  • You will lose access to your account, including your dashboard and saved data, as part of this process.
  • We will let you know if we need any additional information to complete your request.

3. Closing a Student Account

For a student account, your account-related personal data and associated student information (such as your profile, wishlist, and course access tied to your account) is deleted according to Eduverse's deletion process and applicable policy. This deletion is intended to be permanent โ€” see "Information We May Retain" below for the limited exceptions.

4. Closing a Mentor Account

Mentor accounts involve other people's learning, so closure works a little differently. This describes our intended platform behavior, not a legal guarantee โ€” see the note at the end of this section.

  • Free content you've published

Free educational videos or content you've published are removed when your mentor account is closed, following the platform's deletion rules.

  • Paid courses with active students

If a paid course has learners already enrolled, it does not simply disappear when you close your account. Your mentor account is deactivated, the course may need to remain available to already-enrolled students, and new students will not be able to enroll going forward.

  • Paid courses with no enrollments

If a paid course has no active enrollments, your mentor account is deactivated and new enrollment is disabled. The course/content may be retained in storage where necessary for business or data-integrity reasons, following the platform's rules.

A note on account deactivation vs. deletion: "Deactivation" means your mentor account and ability to enroll new students is turned off. "Deletion" means specific data is permanently removed. These are not always the same thing โ€” some course content may be kept active for existing students, or retained where required, even though your account itself is deactivated. If anything on this page appears to conflict with our Privacy Policy or Terms & Conditions, please contact us so we can clarify โ€” this page describes intended platform behavior and does not override those documents.

5. What Data May Be Deleted

When your account is closed, we work to remove the personal data associated with it, including:

  • Your profile information (name, email, account credentials)
  • Your account activity and preferences stored on the platform
  • Content directly tied to your personal account, where applicable โ€” subject to the mentor exceptions above

6. Information We May Retain

In some cases, we may need to retain limited information even after account closure โ€” for example, where required by law, to prevent fraud or abuse, to resolve disputes, to keep a paid course available to students who already enrolled in it, or to enforce our agreements. Any information retained for these reasons is kept only as long as necessary for that specific purpose.

7. Is This Reversible?

Account closure is intended to be permanent. Once a closure request has been verified and processed, we may not be able to restore your account or the data associated with it. Please make sure this is what you want before confirming a request.

8. How Long the Process May Take

We aim to process verified closure requests promptly. Depending on the request and any manual review involved (for example, a mentor account with active student enrollments), this may take some time to complete fully across our systems. We will keep you informed if your request needs additional handling.

9. How Closure Requests Are Verified

To protect your account from unauthorized closure, we use a verification step before any account is closed:

  1. You enter your account email and password below.
  2. We verify these match an existing account.
  3. If verified, a one-time verification code is sent to your account email.
  4. You enter that code on this page to confirm the request.
  5. Once confirmed, the closure process begins.

Your password is used only to verify your identity for this request โ€” it is transmitted securely and is never stored in your browser or logged by our systems.

10. Request Account Closure

This form works without needing to open the Eduverse app. If the automated verification step isn't available yet, you'll be offered a direct email option instead โ€” either way, your request reaches us.

11. If You Have Problems

If you run into any issues with this page or the closure process, contact us directly at contact.eduverseapp@gmail.com and we'll help you complete your request.
